Everything you need to know

The B-vitamin test does not require any special preparation. However, we recommend taking the sample first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and even better, after a warm shower so that the blood flows better when taking the sample.

Determination of B vitamins is important in cases of anaemia or compatible symptoms (weakness, tiredness and skin pallor), nerve damage (neuropathy or suspected neuropathy: tingling sensation, burning, memory loss or impairment of mental status). It is also used to assess nutritional status and to monitor supplementation with these vitamins. In case of abnormal concentrations of calcium, phosphorus or parathyroid hormones.

If your levels are altered, we recommend repeating the test after 3 months to monitor your progress. If your levels are in the normal range, a test every 12 months would be sufficient.
