  • What it measures
TSH
By detecting the amount of this hormone in the blood, we are able to assess how much the thyroid is being stimulated for the production of thyroid hormones that are essential for metabolism.
T4 Free
Measuring T4L in the blood gives us information about whether the thyroid is producing a normal amount of thyroid hormones, or whether it is functioning abnormally. Its measurement also helps us to detect hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
T3 Free
Measuring T3L in the blood tells us whether the thyroid is producing a normal amount of thyroid hormones. In addition, T3L measurement can be useful for assessing thyroid function in people who have normal TSH levels but symptoms suggestive of thyroid dysfunction.
T3 Reverse
Measurement of T3R helps to complement the information provided by the other biomarkers to assess thyroid function, as elevated T3R levels compared to active T3 levels may be an indicator of thyroid dysfunction or other disorders in the body.
Anti-peroxidase antibody (TPO Ac)
Measurement of TPO antibodies in a thyroid health test can help assess the presence of an autoimmune disorder against the thyroid gland and may be useful in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to thyroid function, such as Hashimoto's disease.
Antiroglobulin antibody (Anti-TgAb Ac)
Measurement of anti-TgAb antibodies in a thyroid health test can help assess the presence of autoimmunity against the thyroid gland and may be useful in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to thyroid function such as thyroid cancer.
